Want to make sure if we are the perfect fit for your wedding day? Let us answer some of your burning questions.
Do you have a style? It is a little hard to describe my style of wedding photography, but my best wedding coverage can be seen as a combination of true photojournalism, beautiful and creative portraiture, plus a touch of fine art photography. It is your wedding day, and you are making sure it’s going to be amazing, I will make sure the photography is too.
What can we expect from you on the wedding day? My wedding photography style is predominantly documentary, I aim to capture the flow of events in an unobtrusive, unposed way. Probably the only exception to this is when I spend time with just the bride and groom, usually about half an hour to 45 minutes. This is where I will give some direction and guidance while using creative lighting & dramatic compositions to create interesting environmental portraits that incorporate the beauty of your location.
What about the family photos? Family photographs become more valuable as time goes by, they are an important record of this once-in-a-lifetime day. I work with you to find the best time to do your formal family photos and leave it up to you as to who you would like photos with. Photos of natural fleeting moments are usually my clients’ favourite images after the wedding. A long list of family formals after the ceremony reduces the momentum of the day, so I do recommend limiting them to 8 or fewer groupings, perhaps even allowing some time before the ceremony.
All my beautiful details, will you get them?Absolutely! Your wedding day details are a big part your story. The wedding dress, the vintage cufflinks, the custom bouquet, your table settings, and all the other items you spent time and money on, will definitely not go un-photographed.
What is a first look, and should we do it?The first look is simply the bride and groom seeing each other before the ceremony to have a few minutes to themselves, allowing for beautiful photographs with tons of emotion. This might possibly be your only time alone together during the whole wedding day, and having a private moment on this special day is very important. Doing a first look, guarantees some dedicated portrait time where you can be completely present and relaxed.
